The author of these pictures appeared on the Internet, explained that he was off his usual wave, when suddenly the sea became transformed, or rather, changed its waves into these fantastic squares that literally struck him. He had no idea that this marine phenomenon is not only interesting, but also terribly dangerous for swimmers and light boats.

According to scientists, the square waves are formed because of the collision of warm and cold currents. It is at this intersection the most dangerous place to be because square waves tighten everything that is on the surface, and much faster and more ruthless than the funnel.
