Yesterday, a strong eruption of a mud volcano occurred on the Taman Peninsula, which scattered layers of mud to the horizon. However, despite the destruction and some inconveniences, the locals do not worry about this incident, since such dirt is considered curative.

Geologists from Kuban State University previously warned about the possibility of activation of mud volcanoes in the Krasnodar Territory after an earthquake in southeastern Turkey. And, unfortunately, their assumptions were confirmed.

Today, residents of the Taman Peninsula post a video with the consequences of the eruption of a mud volcano. They claim that there has not been such a powerful ejection from the belly of the volcano for many years. However, it is worth noting that this is not the first case of an eruption of mud volcanoes on the Taman Peninsula. Similar events have also occurred in the past, but not with such force.

The most dangerous on Taman was the eruption of the volcano Burnt Hell in 1794. The sounds of the eruption were heard at a distance of up to 50 km. However, thanks to new technologies and monitoring methods, geologists and scientists can warn about possible dangers in advance.

Mud volcanoes are a special type of volcanoes that consist of mud, sand and gases, not lava. They are found in various parts of the world and can be very dangerous. Some of them are capable of throwing dirt and stones at a distance of up to 10 km, which can lead to destruction and casualties.

Thus, the eruption of a mud volcano on the Taman Peninsula is a serious event that requires attention from the authorities and scientists. But thanks to new monitoring and warning methods, we can be more prepared for similar events in the future.
