Despite the media hype, the geomagnetic field was very calm. Only in high latitudes are weak disturbances noted.

In particular, at the Barentsburg and Dixon geophysical stations, the K-indices reached 5 (the threshold value of a weak magnetic storm). In Murmansk and Dixon, geomagnetic disturbances were limited to 4 (out of 9). It happened on the night of December 10-11.

In the middle latitudes, the geomagnetic field remained very calm. According to geophysical monitoring data, in Moscow and St. Petersburg, the K-indices ranged from 1 to 3.

At the same time, there were no polar lights. Nature lovers in high latitudes spent the night in the cold for a reason.
