On January 6, at 17:14 on the Yakutsk — Namtsy highway, a fall of a "fireball"was recorded. The flash was captured on a car recorder. Footage of the meteorite owner of the car, which at this time was driving on the highway, posted in his account in Instagram.

Earlier, on December 23, a meteorite fell in China, according to experts, its weight could be up to 10 tons. Local residents filmed the meteorite fall on video, the car broke out over the Chinese city of Yushu in the foothills of Tibet.

According to the Chinese Earthquake Tracking Center, the celestial body fell near the border of Yushu and Nangcheng counties.

Its fall was commented on by Russian scientist Sergey Zamozdra, who took part in the study of the Chelyabinsk meteorite. He called the car "gorgeous" because of the duration of the flash-about 29 seconds. The meteorite entered the atmosphere almost tangentially, with a trajectory inclination of less than 10 degrees.
