A two-headed pigeon was spotted on a Moscow street

In the south-west of Moscow, passers-by were shocked by a pigeon with two heads.

Subscribers of the capital's Telegram channels who sent a video with an unusual bird claim to have seen such a pigeon in the Kotlovka area. Despite its unusual appearance, the two-headed pigeon is no different from its fellow pigeons in behavior: it eats and drinks with an appetite.

As Vadim Mishin, the founder of the ornitharium in Sokolniki, told RG, in this case we may be talking about a mutation. Cases are described when two-headed calves were born, such changes are also possible in birds.

"Such individuals are viable for a certain time," the ornithologist noted. - In this case, the pigeon has grown and lives fully. But there may be difficulties during flights."
