In the Plyussky district of the Pskov region, a local resident Natalia Alekseeva noticed an unusual phenomenon of nature - ice "saucers" formed on the water due to frost, also known as "pancakes". She shared the photos with the regional newspaper "Plyussky Krai" in VKontakte.
The pictures show a pond on the surface of which "lies" a large number of miniature disks with bordered sides. Such a "pancake" ice near Pskov arose due to the sharp cold, the active flow of water and wind.
In the comments, netizens were surprised by what they saw.
"I've never seen anything like this. Interesting", "Wow, fascinating!", "Amazing! And I wonder how it is?" the subscribers wrote.
Some also shared their photos, which depicted similar "saucers".
Earlier, residents of the Sverdlovsk region filmed a huge ice "saucer" of perfect shape, which rotates in a circle in the river. According to the Russians, they came to the Tour and did not expect that they would notice an ice disk on the surface of the water. They had only heard and read about such natural transformations in the Urals up to this point.
