An intriguing anomaly, which started in the skies over Whidbey island in Washington state, has caused quite a stir among UFO enthusiasts this week, but apparently the mystery was solved.
A photograph taken with a digital camera, a weather site on Skunk Bay Weather, early Sunday morning on 10 June 2018 showed a bright object, resembling a missile launch.
The weather observer Greg Johnson shared the photo on Twitter that caused a reaction akin to this storm. After the version with the lightning and the fall of the meteorite was rejected, the mass of Internet users agreed on the fact that it is the unplanned launch of a ballistic missile.
However, employees of the nearby naval base said that they have nothing to do with the strange event. Other suspicious origin of the mysterious missiles, such as the nuclear submarine stationed in the area, was also unlikely. This has led to grumbling among ufologists, suggested that it was something from another world.
Alas, the hypothesis regarding the visit of aliens has also been found untenable. After a thorough investigation the image and the report is published on the website of the Drive, it turned out that the strange object over Washington was not a UFO.
After analyzing the speed of the camera's exposure, its direction and traffic information at the time of shooting, it was found that the bright rising to the sky object is, in fact, was a helicopter.
"You don't see the helicopter walked away from the camera - explained on the website. - A streak of light in the sky was the result of long exposure of the camera, and rakotoarisoa glow in the upper part is the body of the helicopter that looks different for the same camera settings".
