In the south-west of France, the wind speed in gusts exceeded 100 km / h, which was caused by the passage of the storm "Justine".
In Biarritz strong wind whipped foam and placed it on the waterfront and in the surrounding areas. As a result, the city services had to use special equipment to clean the streets.
In several areas of France, heavy rains caused a flood of the Seine. The river overflowed its banks in the Paris region. In the capital, many sections of the quays were flooded-at the Louvre, the Musee d'Orsay and the Tuileries Garden.
By the decision of the authorities, public catering outlets, garbage cans and benches were removed from the embankments. Access to some embankments was closed, and residents who live on barges were asked to move their land transport (bicycles, cars and scooters) to safer places.
