Initial data
The nocturnal appearance of crop circles in southern Russia has puzzled farmers, and witnesses say that aliens have landed there.
Russian public television reported that a farmer from the village of Yuzhnoye in the Stavropol Territory called local authorities "to record an act of vandalism" after discovering that his field of ripe barley had apparently been destroyed.
Upon closer examination, four distinct circles were found - one with a diameter of 20 meters in the center and three extreme ones with a diameter of 5-7 meters each.
The barley was smoothed "as if by hand" clockwise.
Representatives of the Stavropol Security Council arrived at the scene, who suppressed all reports of the incident. They found no traces of radiation or chemicals, and human intervention was ruled out.
Officials found witnesses in a nearby village who said they saw a UFO landing in a field. Deputy Secretary of the Security Council Vasily Belchenko was inclined to believe them.
"Strangers" took crop samples from the field. There is no doubt that this was not done by human hands, that someone played a practical joke," he said. An unknown object has definitely landed there. Obviously, he used an unknown landing principle. Eyewitnesses say that the landing was very fast, and the take—off was immediate," he added. "Everything happened in a few seconds."
On TV, it was suggested that a UFO had flown into the field to take a soil sample.
A cylindrical hole 20 cm deep with polished walls was found right in the center of the large circle.
Farmers are still wondering why the aliens needed their land.
These days, British circle masters work all night long, weaving huge intricate formations only for researchers to smell their creation a la "this modest 400-foot formation consisting of more than 200 circles ...".
But not for our Russian colleagues. Last Thursday evening [June 22, 2000] they were flattening barley in the village of Yuzhnoye near Stavropol in southern Russia and bingo! - the very next day, their rather shabby creation was in all the major Russian media. Deputy Secretary of the Russian Security Council Vasily Belchenko [pictured right] immediately stated about the origin of the education: "There is no doubt that it is not man-made...
Residents of nearby villages supported his assumptions, claiming that they saw a UFO landing in the field — "the landing was very fast, and the takeoff was immediate ... everything happened in a few seconds."
In the news of Russian television about education, it was assumed that the UFO arrived at the field to take a soil sample because of a cylindrical hole 20 cm deep with polished walls found right in the center of a large circle... [ see right ] on the other hand, a more mundane explanation for the hole may be that our Russian colleagues decided to drive a pole into the ground to mark the radii of circles!
The farmer is still wondering why the aliens needed his land, and we are still wondering how the Russians would react if one of the huge perfectly formed formations that regularly decorate the fields of Wiltshire appeared in one of their fields!
For more information, you can read an online report on the formation [provided you can read Russian] on the ORTV website, as well as view footage from one of their news reports on the formation. There is also a report on BBC News Online.

Deliberate falsification
This version includes any falsifications that imitate unexplained phenomena both from the outside: practical jokes, flash mobs, fake news, witness fraud, staging, etc.
There are many ways to make something similar to a ghost or a flying saucer from improvised materials, without using video and photomontage.
Many homemade things made for the sake of a joke, a practical joke or a direct imitation of a mystical being or event can be taken as unexplained not only in photos and videos, but also in reality.

Investigation
Most likely, this is a deliberate falsification, and the "places where soil samples are taken" are holes left over from stakes used to draw even circles.
