The ninth episode of the first season of "Project "Blue book" called "the Kidnapping" (or "Abduction"). In this Hynek is involved in a business that literally can't avoid: the headquarters of the project "the Blue book" comes a couple. The man claims that he was abducted by aliens and is going to keep the Heineken and Quinn hostage until, until they find out the truth.
The script of the episode based on the story of the kidnapping of Betty and Barney hill, which is disclosed in detail in the 1975 film "the UFO Incident".
Described in the episode the case of Thomas Mannam has significant differences from the history of the hill's abduction in 1961. The first difference is that in the original story of kidnapped itself, considered both spouses. At the same time before the abduction, they have not only seen strange lights in the sky, but even approached a landed UFO, and saw through the window inside creatures. As in the series, all the details of the abduction, they could remember only under hypnosis. The episode begins with the fact that Hynek wrote a letter of resignation from the project "Blue book". While it gathers things in the Cabinet breaks the couple, Thomas and Vivian Mann. While he is in trance, the Secretary manages to escape and call the police. Waking up, Thomas realizes that the aliens on the ship had placed some object in his neck, and asks his wife to remove it. The subject is some device the size of a coin. After removing it headaches Thomas pass. The police arrive and while trying to free the hostages hurt Thomas Mann. Quinn asks the Heineken to stay in the draft: he would have believed Thomas was when he called the first time half a year ago, and the whole incident could have been avoided.
Russian spy agrees with his co-worker this blonde to get some dirt on the wife of the Heineken, to blackmail the Professor. Blonde pours her water and the drug is going to do intimate photos, but realizes that he can not betray a friend. In the end, she kills his partner, adjust the evidence as if it was self-defense.

The alien ship shown in the memoirs of Thomas Mann, has a cone shape, in contrast to the "flying saucers" shown in the previous series.
