Citizens of Belarus captured on camera a rare natural phenomenon which appears, as a rule, rivers with slow current. We are talking about a huge perfect circle of ice, which slowly revolved.

A ice disc occurs when there is a vortex flow that rotates the circle. Gradually the whirling edge of the ice piece worn down to a perfect shape. The circle can have a huge sizes: in diameter to be as few meters and few kilometers.

The ice in the first round was recorded in 1999 on lake Baikal: the diameter of the "drive" was 4 km away. the Phenomenon typically occurs in Scandinavia and North America. Seen it also in Germany, Britain, the Russian Federation, and now in Belarus.
