The crew members of the International Space Station continue to regularly surprise everyone who follows their activities in orbit with interesting facts and images. Perhaps, our compatriot Sergey Kud-Sverchkov especially succeeds in this. Recall that recently, in a conversation with netizens, he spoke about how being in weightlessness affects health.

Now, Kud-Crickets decided to please those interested in space with an unusual video, in which he captured the Moon, seemingly so familiar to humanity, but in an unusual angle. In his video, the Earth satellite looks flattened. This is how the Moon's sunset looks from the ISS.

According to the astronaut, before the Moon goes below the horizon, the rays of light reflected by it pass through the earth's atmosphere and are distorted. This creates an unusual visual effect.

Also, Kud-Crickets clarified that the video was shot at night, so the Earth's horizon is not visible and there is an illusion that the Moon simply dissolves into the void.
