Mysterious "floating city" appeared in the middle of the ocean

The network has published amazing pictures that capture the "floating city" off the coast of Hampshire (England). Tall buildings rise out of the Atlantic Ocean as if they are standing on the water.

Arthur Scott, 56, was struck by the bizarre appearance and photographed a group of floating buildings that had sprung up a few miles from the beach in Portsmouth, Hampshire. According to the man, the mirage was observed for about an hour.

According to experts, we are talking about "fata morgan" - a rare optical phenomenon in the atmosphere. Recently, there are many similar mirages, when huge container ships seem to float in the air above the horizon.

Hundreds of years ago, such mirages were perceived by people as something supernatural, which is not surprising, since mirages displayed objects in the air that could be located tens or hundreds of kilometers from the observer. But few people knew what these objects were.
