Five witnesses had gone to the beach area where in the past several nights they had seen strange maneuvering lights right off the coast. On this night they saw a luminous object and a red light that appeared to be exchanging luminous signals. Later they noticed two very tall figures standing by the water edge, these figures appeared to have large white hairless heads and were wearing loose fitting white monk like outfits. The figures began walking towards the witnesses in slow clumsy movements, keeping their arms straight down on their sides constantly. The witnesses began walking away but then noticed that the two figures stopped and turned around apparently looking out to sea at the bright red light. A bright flash was seen and a small luminous sphere shot towards the figures and disappeared. The figures then sat down on the sand and began digging around them. Then a small bright blue sphere appeared and both figures seemed to pass it along to each other several times. At this point one of the witnesses briefly saw a gigantic figure wearing a black tight-fitting outfit with a large white pear shaped head standing in front of the other two beings. This figure suddenly vanished and was not seen by the others. The figures on the sand suddenly stood up but now they resembled normal humans, one man the other a woman, they both walked hurriedly away and disappeared towards town. The now confused witnesses saw a small cloud like object near the shore and suddenly they all saw the giant black clad figure with the pear shaped head appear by the water. Three of the witnesses now ran towards the giant figure that fled seemingly floating just above the ground at very high speed. The witnesses were unable to get even close to the giant, so they now turned and suddenly very frightened ran from the area. Strange tracks were found on the sand by investigators.

El 29 de septiembre de 1989, una nave extraterrestre aterrizó en Rusia. Tres alienígenas (y un robot) bajaron del platillo volante y aterrorizaron a un grupo de niños que jugaban en un parque. Uno de ellos incluso fue abducido. Ocurrió a media tarde y el suceso fue dado por verosímil por el gobierno soviético. Esa misma noche, tres extraterrestres fueron vislumbrados en Conil de la Frontera (Cádiz) por cinco vecinos del pueblo. Tal vez fueron los mismos de Rusia que, en su camino de vuelta a su planeta, pararon en la costa gaditana para comerse un atún de la almadraba antes de emprender su larguísimo viaje por el universo.

Se acaban de cumplir 30 años de una fecha marcada en rojo para los amantes de la ufología y los sucesos paranormales. Cinco gaditanos aseguraron haber visto a tres alienígenas en la playa de Conil, mirando hacia la costa y pasándose una especie de pelota blanca. También, que cuando dichas criaturas se sintieron observadas, mutaron su aspecto. Se transformaron en un montículo, luego en un matrimonio alemán, y se marcharon de allí con viento fresco.

Si suena increíble, más extraño todavía resulta que ese mismo día se produjese el supuesto aterrizaje de una nave extraterrestre en Voronezh, una ciudad 600 kilómetros al sur de Moscú. Un acontecimiento del que varios niños fueron testigos, y que corrió como la pólvora por todo el planeta. La agencia TASS, el organismo oficial de comunicación de la ya agonizante Unión Soviética, le dio tanta credibilidad que redactó un teletipo explicando que los alienígenas acababan de llegar a Rusia. Los medios españoles fueron los que le concedieron más credibilidad al suceso, los que lo difundieron más rápido y los que le dedicaron una mayor cobertura. Con el tiempo se concluyó que aquella historia podía ser una maniobra propagandística de la URSS. Pero… ¿qué explicación tiene lo que vieron los cinco de Conil?

Isabel Sánchez, Lázaro Sánchez, Pedro Sánchez, Loli Bermúdez y Pedro González. Cinco amigos de Conil de la Frontera, de entre 20 y 30 años, que llevaban varios días con la mosca detrás de la oreja: desde su pueblo se veían unas extrañas luces en la costa cuya procedencia nadie sabía explicar. Era 29 de septiembre, ya había empezado el otoño y no quedaban bañistas en la zona.

Bajaron los cinco a la playa desierta y al filo de la medianoche vieron algo que les cambió sus vidas: dos seres de 2,15 de altura, con túnicas blancas, que se pasaban una esfera de luz. Tenían un aspecto parecido a personas, pero (aseguraban y aseguran todavía hoy los cinco gaditanos), no lo eran. No tenían ni siquiera rasgos faciales. No eran humanos, sino humanoides.

“Ninguno de nosotros iba bebido ni consumía drogas”, aclaraba Pedro González en una entrevista concedida al programa de radio Milenio 3 de Íker Jiménez. Lo dice porque, tras explicar en el pueblo lo que habían presenciado, hasta la policía les hizo un seguimiento para saber si esos jóvenes eran dados al consumo de sustancia psicotrópicas. Pero no. Se trataba de cinco jóvenes del pueblo, respetados, centrados y poco dados a las fiestas.

Pedro González lo recordaba así: “Se sientan y empiezan a intercambiarse una esfera blanca de mano a mano. El otro Pedro (Sánchez, otro de los chicos que bajaron a la playa esa noche) tenía unos prismáticos y vio a un tercer ser que tenía más envergadura, unos 3 metros y la cabeza bastante más grande y blanca. Es una persona que es muy nerviosa y salió corriendo. Lo intenté frenar para preguntarle qué había visto y me dijo que un ser de tres metros con la cabeza muy grande y vestido de negro”, le explicaba Pedro González a Íker Jiménez, añadiendo que habían dejado huellas de pie de casi medio metro de largo.

Cuenta este testimonio que, cuando los extraños seres se vieron observados, hicieron una especie de montículos para ocultarse. Desaparecieron así de su campo de visión, para volver a aparecer unos minutos más tardes. Transformados, esta vez sí, en una pareja de guiris. Un hombre rubio vestido con vaqueros y una mujer morena con falda. Ambos se marcharon de la playa sin decir ni pío, mientras el tercer humanoide se quedó en la playa envuelto en una neblina. Investigaron después los gaditanos quién era esa pareja. Lo que descubrieron les inquieto todavía más. Resultó que eran dos turistas alemanes que estaban hospedados en un hotel del pueblo. Esas identidades, sin embargo, correspondían en efecto a una pareja alemana… que no había viajado en jamás a nuestro país.

" On September 29, 1989, something weird happened on the beach of Los Bateles. Five young people from the town of Conil used to gather every night at this beach between 20:00 and 21:00 hours. The reason of these gathering was to see the strange lights that appeared at night.

In September of 1989 the inhabitants of Conil, had several nights watching some lights in the sky that made some erratic movements but soundlessly. These lights became an attraction for its inhabitants, which came to the beach to observe the phenomenon and it was on September 29 when a group of five young people, Isabel and her brother Lázaro, Pedro Sánchez, Loli Bermúdez and Pedro González decided to go to the beach to watch the lights in the sky.

About 20:45 hours, they saw an object, it looked like a crescent shaped with red lights inside which passed in complete silence towards the village. Immediately, the boys spotted two lights, one above their heads and the other on the port of Conil. it all lasted around 30 minutes. At 21:00 hours, about 50 meters away from them it appeared out of the darkness a couple of beings.

As the beings approached, the young people were sure that these beings were not human. Hidden behind a mound and with the help of their binoculars they saw the figures of the two beings, they were very tall, possibly exceeded 2 meters, they dressed in a white robe that reached the floor, they walked awkwardly and the young people said they had no face nor hair. Thereupon the strange beings began to move towards the young people causing them to leave running in terror.

The two beings stopped and turned their backs to the young people, ignoring them, they seemed watching a strange light on the port, the young people also stopped and stayed observing the movements of the strange beings. Soon a small blue sphere began to descend from the sky, stopping within a small distance from the beings. Immediately, the two beings sat in the sand and began to dig and make a horseshoe shaped mound. The beings lay down on the sand and they started bouncing the small blue sphere at each other as if playing.

The five young people were still watching the beings when a dark figure approached from the sea wrapped with a kind of fog and gave the sensation of floating, this new being was taller than the other two that were lying on the sand, his clothing were black and had a monstrous white head with two large black holes instead of eyes. The young people have had enough emotions already and were ready to leave when they saw that the tall being was gone and the two lying beings incorporated with a new look. They now had a human face, had become a man and a woman with nordic features, the man was very tall and blond, he was wearing jeans and a t-shirt and the woman which was also very tall but not as tall had long dark hair, she was wearing a long white skirt, the young people were very confused.

The two beings, started to walk toward the streets of Conil. Two of the young people began to follow them but stopped when they saw over the sea a sort of cloud approaching at high speed towards them, Pedro Gonzalez with the help of his binoculars observed the tall black dressed being. The young people couldnt fully appreciate the features of this being so they agreed to get closer to see it better, the being then stopped and stared at the witnesses, then turned around and got lost in the shadows. The young people realized that because of the appearance of this being they lost sight of the other two beings which headed toward the streets of Conil.

After the event, the young people continued on the beach. They were waiting the arrival of an acquaintance, Juan Bermudez. The young people discussed what happened and decided to remain silent, at 22:30 hours Juan Bermudez arrived and they told him what happened, he recommended them to intern at the beach to look for evidence. They found some footprints in the sand, 45 cm long and 15 cm wide, they also observed other tracks that had one characteristic in common, it had four fingers, these tracks were heading to the village and departed from the mound made by the two beings."
