Batalova Nina Alexandrovna, born in 1938, leading engineer of PKTB himmash, department 02.

Perm, in the area of the airport "Bakharevka" (on the Michurinsky site).

August 1977, around 11 p.m.

The observation was carried out from a fixed point on the ground. The field of view was limited by trees. The distance to the trees was about 10-15 m, the trees were 5-6 m high. The sky was clear, without wind. There were no stars, no moon. There were no planes, helicopters, etc. at the time of observation.

At the time of the observation, there were no technical means with him. There are no materials for registering the phenomenon.

I was heating the stove, cooking soup. My attention to the flying object was attracted by children (sons: 14 years old and 9 years old).

There were 5 people who observed the phenomenon: my husband Victor Ivanovich Batalov, 41 years old, neighbors in Michurinsky garden: spouses Timofeev Alexander Stepanovich and Galina Alexandrovna, now retired. Alexander Stepanovich worked as Deputy Chief

the supervisor of the plant. Galina Alexandrovna worked as a master of the PKTB workshop. Berezina Maria Trofimovna, retired, without education.

The children saw the object in the sky, called me, saying that a ball lightning was flying across the sky (they only know about ball lightning from books). We, all of the above, ran out to the playground in front of the house and watched the flying object for about 1-2 minutes.

Hypotheses

Ball lightning

A rare natural phenomenon, a unified physical theory of the origin and course of which has not been presented to date.

There are about 200 theories explaining the phenomenon, but none of them has received absolute recognition in the academic environment. Since this phenomenon was introduced into the scientific sphere by the English physician and researcher of electrical engineering William Snow Harris in 1843, and a scientist of the French Academy Francois Arago in 1855, many hypotheses were put forward. Here are selectively some of them:
