There is a legend that once in the vicinity of Cape violentadas was the temple priestess of the goddess Artemis of Iphigenia, daughter of Agamemnon king of Mycenae. Here she was sacrificed to Artemis strangers, ships that brought the storm here. The legend seems to be confirmed by the Greek myths.
Anyway, the ruins of the temple yet to be found, but there are rumors about a sinister Ghost that from time to time see in these parts. And maybe it's different ghosts, as one of the witnesses met a giant human figure with a bestial face, and the other glowing pillar, with great speed moving along the coast.

Now these places has been declared a Museum-reserve, and swimming there is forbidden, and visits are allowed only until eight o'clock in the evening.
However, the White monk can be seen not only at night but during the day. But in the daytime it is as if only in the form of the white rabbit. They say he can answer questions. If you're worried, you can ask the rabbit. The only response must be "Yes" or "no". If the rabbit remained in place – the answer is Yes. Ran away – negative...
Ghosts in the Lazarev barracks
Lazarevsky barracks was built before the Crimean war. After the First defensive battle to restore them. And now, as reported in his book "Sevastopol. History. Legends. The tradition of" the captain 1-St rank, the writer and journalist Vladimir Shigin, in the second half of the XIX century, people living there, the men began to see in the Central corridors of the barracks some translucent figures are clearly of supernatural origin.
According to eyewitnesses, there were three ghosts. One of them wore on his head a Turkish FEZ and had an accident. The other neck was tied a handkerchief, and held it quite proudly. The third had twirled up mustache and wedge-shaped beard, the"goatee". He was the most "sociable" and met the inhabitants of the barracks more than any other.
Subsequently, the sailors came to the conclusion that all three of the ghosts belonged to the representatives of the allied armies that were besieging Sevastopol in 1854-1855 Judging from the appearance, first, in a FEZ, was a Turk, the second in a headscarf – an Englishman, third, with a mustache and beard by a Frenchman. In all likelihood, these soldiers found their death, appeared as phantoms.
After the Navy invited the priest read a prayer and sprinkled barracks with Holy water, the ghosts began to see less often.
Secrets of Maksimova dacha
One of the most legendary places of Sevastopol – so-called Maksimova dacha. In fact, this is no cottage, but a whole district with an area of 30 hectares, which early last century was a then-mayor Alexey A. Maximov, in the past the serf and then a building contractor, to turn this place Khomutov beam, located near Sapun mountain and the English cemetery - Park-manor house in European style with pavilions, bridges, sculptures in the Greek style, cascading ponds, fountains, arboretum, and exotic animals.
Alas, the fate of the Maximov was tragic: in 1908 he shot himself. The reason for that has arisen around his name the gossip: for example, said that when he was the contractor for the construction of Alexander dock was used substandard building materials. Also it was called politically unreliable, because in the past he had a relationship with the people. The result of Maksimova was removed from office of the mayor, above it hangs the threat of expulsion and confiscation of property.
Over time, the Park fell into disrepair. During the Civil war, after the army of Wrangel left Sevastopol are shot whites and sympathizers of the citizens, among whom were family members of the late Maximova, and the manor was looted. Subsequently, at Maximova dacha was a colony for homeless children, agricultural commune, a hospital and a sanatorium.
In our days Maksimova dacha is a popular place with the locals. However, strolling through the Park, people often note a General deterioration of health and even the appearance of completely unfounded and irrational fears. Some there is strong desire to leave this place.
According to one version, in ancient times it housed the altars. There was even found the remains of buildings, clearly had a religious purpose. Hence, they say, and unfavorable energy.
Another version says that the "curse Maximova dacha" blame the Park designed by the architect Valentin Feldman. Supposedly it is encrypted in the local vegetative landscape secret cabalistic symbols and thereby attract evil spirits or demons.
