An international team of astronomers has found that over 2.7% of the shots of outer space taken by the Hubble telescope at a long shutter speed turned out to be defective due to the satellites that got into them.
Experts also fear that in the future the number of defects will increase along with the "constellations" of new spacecraft launched into orbit.
The neural network helped the experts to identify corrupted frames from such a large volume of materials (and these are all pictures for 2002-21).
It is noted that since 2009, the number of corrupted personnel has become twice as large as in the previous seven years.
Thus, orbital astronomical devices are negatively affected by probes and satellites, as well as ground-based ones suffer from light pollution of the sky.
