At first glance, it looks like a kind of portal to another dimension, but this is just a "hole punch cloud".

FOX40 viewer Jamison Mitchell in the California sky took several photos of this unexplained phenomenon Friday near the High School in Bear Creek.

The scientific term that is used for this unexplained phenomenon is "fallstreak hole" ("hole due to a falling jet").

Weather experts say that the domino effect, played out by ice crystals, punches a hole in an unusual cloud, usually cirrus-cumulus or high-beam.
