Spectacular rainbow clouds have graced the sky over and around the Arctic. The sky has been twinkling with colorful lights for more than three days due to an unusual cooling in the upper atmosphere.

According to experts, more such colorful clouds are expected in the next few months.

Rainbow clouds or polar stratospheric clouds were observed from December 18 to December 21 high in the sky over some areas of Norway, Sweden, Finland and Alaska and even in Scotland.
