"Today, above the waters of lake Ladoga began the teachings of fighter aircraft of the Western military district "Ladoga-2016". The participation of fighter pilots of the aviation connections of the WMD stationed in Voronezh, Tver, Kursk oblasts and Republic of Karelia," — said in the message.

In the exercises, which will last a week, will involve the MiG-29SMT, MiG-31BM, su-34, as well as various modifications of su-27. Will be live firing, the launches of guided missiles, the number of elements of the air battle.
