A mysterious monolith has been found in the US desert

The Las Vegas Police Department noticed a mysterious monolith, similar to those sensational during the pandemic, near Gass, Nevada. It is unclear when and by whom it was installed. This is the latest in a series of monoliths previously discovered in Romania, California and Turkey.

The first monolith was found in Red Rock County, Utah, in 2020, and first on satellite maps. Judging by the mapping dates, the object has been there since 2015.

Both official investigations and research by enthusiasts have led to the hypothesis that the monoliths are the works of photographer Eliot Lee Hazel, who lives just in Utah. However, Hazel denies any involvement, naming the artist Derek De Spain as the author.

Although the author is not exactly known, we are clearly talking about an art project or props for the film.
