Initial data
Breathtaking footage of the storm front was shot on the evening of 8 September 2016 on the island of Corsica. You can see how lightning got into a few UFOs.
A lot of people came out to enjoy the sunset and the dark storm clouds formed on the horizon, which shone large and bright lightning.
Powerful electrical discharges illuminated the sky. When the lightning flashes you can see a few UFOs. Spherical objects began to glow a bright orange light as if was are heated up to enormous temperatures, and then fell down.
And others, in the form of discs, got in an electric field, blazing bright "prominences", and then disappeared. The author of the video suggested that these UFOs could be destroyed by such powerful discharges.

Hypotheses
Ball lightning
A rare natural phenomenon, a unified physical theory of the origin and course of which has not been presented to date.
There are about 200 theories explaining the phenomenon, but none of them has received absolute recognition in the academic environment. Since this phenomenon was introduced into the scientific sphere by the English physician and researcher of electrical engineering William Snow Harris in 1843, and a scientist of the French Academy Francois Arago in 1855, many hypotheses were put forward. Here are selectively some of them:
