The observer Soldatenkov A. I. (born in 1939) from Volkovysk, Grodno region (July 1952):
"One summer day was played in the afternoon. The three of us (mom, me and brother) were home. I was reading a book at table, mother sat next to embroidery. A powerful clap of thunder made us startle.
Suddenly a bright glowing ball, unknown penetrated through the glass balcony doors, fixed my gaze, I anxiously clung to his mother. The ball was orange in color, about five inches in diameter, and the brightness was like a light bulb 25 watts. Entering the room, he stopped as if in thought, just standing, slowly, at a speed of about 1 m/s, swam along the walls at 2 m from the floor.
Sometimes he stopped, as if "stamped" and a little "thinking", again gradually embarked on. However, he then stretched long, like a drop of mercury, then again took a spherical shape. So he made one lap around the room and went to the second. We were in the middle of the room in fright and turned heads followed the ball. Suddenly his attention was attracted by a brilliant orchestral trumpet hanging on the wall.
Smooth ball movement has accelerated markedly and he rushed to the pipe. The ball flew into the wide funnel, there was an explosion (or rather the crackling of dry broken wood), accompanied by a deafening metallic clatter.
The ringing slowly died down, and we, terrified and spellbound, still could not recover. Then we inspected the pipe, it's all blackened, in places melted, was all crumpled.
All this happened in about 25-30 seconds and was accompanied by a loud crackling loudspeaker. After the disappearance of the ball left the sharp smell of ozone."

Hypotheses
Ball lightning
A rare natural phenomenon, a unified physical theory of the origin and course of which has not been presented to date.
There are about 200 theories explaining the phenomenon, but none of them has received absolute recognition in the academic environment. Since this phenomenon was introduced into the scientific sphere by the English physician and researcher of electrical engineering William Snow Harris in 1843, and a scientist of the French Academy Francois Arago in 1855, many hypotheses were put forward. Here are selectively some of them:
