Great Britain is one of the most unusual countries in the world. Here are the best magic schools (no, we are not talking about Hogwarts) and esoteric shops. And on the Islands of the United Kingdom, elves, spirits, Celtic egregor and druids are still revered. Vera Novitskaya, a tarologist, Tells about the mystical places of power and rituals that are still held there.
In Britain, they often talk about mysticism. Why? The answer is simple: the locals have long learned to get along with it side by side. Surprisingly, some of the magical places are well known to you. For Example, Stonehenge. Although I am neutral about it: there are more noteworthy places of power in England.
Avebury
In the small village of Avebury, there is a stone circle that was built about 4,000 years ago. Immediately upon arrival, it is difficult to find out exactly where to look for it. All because the city is literally inscribed in this huge "Stonehenge".
The stone circle at Avebury is part of a whole system of altar places. They were used for both magical gatherings and rituals. My favorite and perhaps most notable part of it — the entrance — is called "the Hero's way". In fact, this is a corridor consisting of 36 stones, which marks the magical path of man: this is how many stages, from the point of view of the druids, you had to go through, study and understand before you were allowed to the world of magic. And to the left of the entrance there are two "Druidic" trees: on wiccan holidays, locals come to tie a ribbon on them and make a wish.
If you wander around the city, you can use the map to find places marked with small stones — there were previously large boulders. There is much debate in British sources about their location and origin. It is said that magicians and sorcerers brought stones to England in order to use them to gain power, knowledge and power. And some of the stones exist to this day, just now they are hidden, scattered or hidden in temples (a temple is an altar where people perform magic rites. — Ed.). in addition, some of the stones belong to the Avebury Museum.
By the way, Avebury is many times larger than Stonehenge: a much larger number of wizards gathered on its territory. There was one group of druids at Stonehenge, and several different groups at Avebury.
Archangel Michael hill (Glastonbury Tor)
Another amazing place in Britain, where, according to legend, king Arthur and his wife Guinevere were buried, as well as the Holy Grail, is the hill of the Archangel Michael or the island of avalon. Nature has built seven stages in it, which is marked by the seven astral worlds and human bodies. The main tower of the temple has been preserved on the hill, where you can often meet mysterious personalities (not all of them are specialists, there are just enough Amateurs). This is because the hill is considered a transitional place to other worlds and is still used for astral travel in rituals.
By the way, there is a small swimming pool near the temple. The water from the lake is intended for performing rituals with underground forces, and not for watering local sheep, as you might think at first. In magic, all elevations are primarily used for communication with the light forces. And the gorges and caves are for communication with the lower ones. For the same reason, Death Valley in the United States, which is located below sea level, belongs to the "dark places". And avalon combines these two worlds, which distinguishes it from others.
Seven sisters (Seven Sisters)
The mighty English cliffs, which attract hundreds of thousands of tourists every year, are known in magic as the home of one of the most secretive but influential female magical orders of the middle Ages. "Seven sisters" — witches who gathered at the cliff for rituals.
The right to enter this order was passed only by kinship, because in the middle Ages women's communities were very rare (perhaps that is why so little information has been preserved about them). Although the place of worship of the "Sisters" now has a stele for sailors (the monument itself is not magical), where people still bring gifts to witches.
Blue lagoon and temple of Minerva
We are not talking about an Icelandic resort with thermal waters, but about a small natural pool in Pembrokeshire, which has long been considered a place of worship for the Roman Titan Oceanus. In addition, mermaids were treated in natural pools, and baptisms or purification rites were performed.
Oceanus is a Titan God who is responsible for strength, courage, and character, as well as symbolizing hidden higher magic. Not the most popular egregor, even forgotten, although it works very well for rituals for career advancement. By the way, there is no information about Oceanus in Russian. But the blue lagoon is perhaps one of the rare places of worship. And the County of Pembrokeshire is a very picturesque place in itself, where you can easily find many small druic circles and stones.
Another place of worship for Oceanus is in bath, one of the main centers of Britain during the Roman rule. Earlier, pagan temples were located in the baths that the city was famous for. Now there is the head of Minerva — the goddess who was worshipped two millennia ago. In addition, bath is the only place where you can buy a rare souvenir: a plate with the image of the God Oceanus.
