April 2, 2019, at approximately 20:00 the people of St. Petersburg and Leningrad region noticed unusual lights in the sky, hovering near Oselki village of Vsevolozhsk district.
This phenomenon lasted for quite a long period of time and had many eyewitnesses. It was still daylight, someone was already home and saw the glowing object from his window, and someone was driving in the car on the way home and was able to capture the event on video. In any case, our world is largely digital, and video of the event appeared on the Internet a lot.
Eyewitnesses of events tell about what they saw and describe it as "bright shining objects in the sky." The observed lights were different sizes, brightness and colours of which are dominated by orange. Some time later, smaller lights joined a larger, appearing, disappearing with him. Later, all the objects faded and disappeared altogether.
There are reports that this phenomenon also was seen over the Kirov, in the area of Sosnovo, Priozersky district, and in Priozersk, as well as in the area of Staraya Ladoga in the Volkhovsky district.
The Internet made a lot of assumptions that it was actually from the alien ships to weather balloons. But the most reliable is the version according to which UFO sightings – it is the light target, which is used for training military aircraft. For this hypothesis there is a serious basis — near Osel'ki is a military unit and operates the training ground.
As reported by Lenoblinform, Alexander Soklakov, head of administration of Priozersk district has explained this phenomenon:
Someone probably saw a UFO. Now there are flight technical exercises under Kingisepp. Most likely, by the Priozersk district held training flights of our aircraft.
Of course, you can imagine that Leningrad region was visited by aliens. However, not all witnesses agreed with this explanation. Judging by the testimony of some of them, the object then faded, then reappeared and moved in different directions. Such behavior is not typical for light targets.
