The exploits of FBI Special Agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully who investigate X-Files: marginalized, unsolved cases involving paranormal phenomena. Mulder believes in the existence of aliens and the paranormal while Scully, a skeptic, is assigned to make scientific analyses of Mulder's discoveries that debunk Mulder's work and thus return him to mainstream cases.

The seventh season of the sci-fi television series "The X-Files" began airing on Fox in the United States on November 9, 1999, ended on May 21, 2000 and consisted of twenty-two episodes.

The events of this season take place after the destruction of the Syndicate and mark the end of other storylines. During this season Fox Mulder learns the true fate of his sister Samantha.
