Biologists have revealed the secret of a mysterious "extraterrestrial" mummy

In 2003, an amateur collector, while exploring a mine in the city of La Noria (Atacama Desert), found a strange mummy wrapped in a white cloth in a leather bag. The man immediately thought about the alien origin of the creature.

The length of the mummy was 15 cm. The creature had ten pairs of ribs, orbiting eyes, and a cone-shaped head. The media quickly picked up the news, starting to spread information about the found alien. The remains have also attracted collectors from all over the world. So, the creation is now in the possession of a Spanish collector from Barcelona, a thousand kilometers from the place of discovery.

The alien was named Atacama (Ata). Research has shed light on the discovery. As it turned out, the mine contained the skeleton of a female human. This was still an infant, who, due to numerous mutations (there were 64 of them in total), died almost immediately after birth.

The bones appear mature, but the appearance is deceptive, said Harry Nolan of Stanford University in California. The girl's survival was impossible.
